Arriving, Michigan Ave, & Eatly | Chicago, IL

My friend M and I both turned 30 this year so we decided to go on a trip together (I mean a birthday with a "0" in it is a good excuse right? lol). We chose to visit Chicago and it was so fun!

We flew out of the OKC airport on Tuesday and returned the following on Saturday. We arrived at the O'Hare airport around 2:30pm and took an Uber to our accommodations at the Hilton Garden Inn North Loop. Our Uber driver was extremely proud of his city and gave us tons of tips on places to visit, shop, and restaurants to try out.

After we checked in and freshened up, we strolled down Michigan Avenue and had dinner at Eatly. OH. MY. GOODNESS!!!! The food was absolutely fantastic!!

Eatly has several different restaurant you can choose from as well as a coffee bar, Nutella cafe, and a cannoli bar. It also has a meat counter, cheese counter, fruit and vegetable section, and lots and lots of pastas and other ingredients to make any Italian dish your heart desires.

We ate at La Pizza & La Pasta. I had the vesuvio alla norcina and M had the tagliatella al ragu di manzo. They were both amazing as was the bread that came with our meals.

After our dinner settled, we split a crepe con banana from the Nutella bar that was fantastic (can anything with Nutella on it be anything less?). We wanted to try out the cannoli bar as well, but we were already full. Instead we both got a cannoli to go. We didn't eat them until two days later and they were still incredible! I can only image how great they would have been if we had eaten them that evening.

Crepe con banana....amazing!! The photo does not convey how delicious it was.
If you even remotely like Italian food you should definitely check out Eatly. You will not be disappointed :)
