Mark Twain House & Museum, Grove Street Cemetery, Beineke Library, The Morgan Library, Dylan's Candy Bar, Broadway & Easter | New Haven, CT, New York City, NY, & Groton, CT

Well, it only took 7 months but I finally got an Oklahoman to visit me in Connecticut! My best friend and roommate from OSU, came to visit over Easter weekend. We visited a lot of sites in 4 days but it was so much fun! We toured Mark Twain and Harriet Beecher Stowe's houses in Hartford (fun fact they were neighbors).

We went to New Haven and explored the Grove Street Cemetery, okay I know this sounds odd but I like to examine the different styles/designs of tombstones and how they change over the decades and notable Americans such as Noah Webster and Eli Whitney are buried here. We also walked around Yale University's campus, saw The Beineke Rare Book and Manuscript Library, and she experienced her first hockey game.

We spent a day in New York City and visited The Morgan Library which is absolutely incredible. Mr. Morgan's library is so tall that he had hidden staircases installed behind the books so people can reach the different levels. We also thoroughly explored Dylan's Candy Bar, shopped on 5th Avenue, saw the seals at the Central Park Zoo, and saw Mary Poppins on Broadway.

On Easter we went to church, made Easter dinner, and colored Easter eggs!
