Mystic Seaport | Mystic, CT

I now have a lot of free time on my hands before I move back to Oklahoma so....it's time for more sightseeing!

Yesterday it was actually sunny in Connecticut so I visited Mystic Seaport. The seaport is enchanting! It is filled with historic buildings and ships that have been transplanted from various locations in New England to Mystic, Connecticut. Volunteers in the buildings are cooking, printing papers, making barrels, etc. and will tell you anything you want to know. I even got to go behind the counter and make a print on the 19th century printing press at the Mystic Press!

The Seaport is also home to the last wooden whaling ship in the world, the Charles W. Morgan. Currently, the Morgan is undergoing a 3 year restoration project; however, visitors can still climb aboard and explore the ship.
